© 2011 EU-CHS Consortium - 4th ICPCH 2012 - www.chsinternationalmeeting.eu WELCOME Dear Friend, Dear Colleague, Five years have elapsed since the last Third International Conference on Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome (Sestri Levante, Italy, 2007) The European CHS Consortium is delighted to invite you to the Fourth International Conference on Primary Central Hypoventilation, SCIENCE & LIFE OF CHS, which will be held in Warsaw, Poland, April 13-15, 2012. The meeting is under the patronnage of the Executive Agency for Health and Consumers (AEHC) and Public Health European Agency (PHEA) of European Community. The conference will provide an update of knowledge recently acquired on: • Functional, molecular and genetic aspects of Central Control of Breathing, of Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction and of Central Hypoventilation Syndromes (CHS) • Epidemiology, diagnosis, ongoing care management, health care standards of and service organization for CHS. • Outputs from the work of the European CHS Consortium : CHS Registry, Guidelines, Standards of Care, Standards of Quality of centers and home services for CHS. The conference will also provide an understanding of the current state of CHS care across the world and an opportunity to exchange ideas to improve service and care organisation in the future.
